Caregiver/ Personal Care Assistant- $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS!
We offer an extensive Tuition Reimbursement/ Student Loan Repayment program for up to $5,250 a year.
Position: Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Main responsibilities
- Provides assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
- Follows the schedule of resident’s needs set out by the supervisor.
- Provides emotional and social support to residents.
- Documents daily log of assistance. • Informs supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
- Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
- Respects residents’ confidentiality.
- Is familiar with emergency equipment and procedures.
- Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- CBRF Certification is a big plus, otherwise, CBRF certification Training is provided

- Experienced in long-term care or Assistant Living
- Able to communicate well in both verbal and written forms
- Committed to interacting professionally and with care toward residents, families, and other staff

The position is responsible for providing assistance to residents with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity.
Essential Functions
- Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support.
- Provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions, as needed, for Memory Care residents to be as independent as possible in their activities of daily living including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
- Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.
- Adhere to and is a champion for the Embrace Memory Care philosophy.
- Document daily according to memory care policies and procedures and state regulations, including but not limited to, the communication of any resident concerns, change in condition, or related topics.
- Ensure that SLC policy and procedure are followed to maintain a safe work environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and training of staff on safe working practices.
- Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow-up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
